Pennisetum alopecuroides (Fountain Grass)
×
Color Name: Little Bunny
'Little Bunny' is a miniature fountain grass prized for its soft, compact form and adorable cream-colored flower plumes. Growing only about 12-18 inches tall, it's one of the smallest fountain grass varieties, making it perfect for borders, rock gardens, containers, and small-space plantings. Its fine-textured green foliage forms a neat mound, topped in late summer by fuzzy, bottlebrush-like blooms that add gentle movement and charm. Easy to grow, 'Little Bunny' thrives in full sun and well-drained soil.
Growing Tips: PPennisetum prefers to be grown in rich loamy soil with good drainage and full sun or light shade. However, it will grow in rocky or sandy soil as long as it remains fairly moist. This grass resents having "wet feet".
