Color Name: Paraplu Rouge®
A stunning new color has been added to the family of Rose of Sharon. There is not a lot of red to offer in the Rose of Sharon family, so when Paraplu Rouge was discovered, featuring deep magenta red blooms with a bright red eye, we knew we wanted to carry it! Paraplu Rouge has large flowers that bloom mid to late summer. Standing 6-10 feet tall and 5 feet wide, this hibiscus has an upright columnar form. Planted in full sun locations, hibiscus are easy to grow and attract hummingbirds to the landscape. No need to worry about the deer browsing around this deer resistant shrub.
Growing Tips: Rose of Sharon is not finicky about soil. Any well-drained site will do. Regular pruning is not required. May be trimmed, pruned, or shaped as desired in early spring. Rose of Sharon generally has high fertility needs and may benefit from a yearly applications of a granular fertilizer formulated for flowering shrubs.
