Color Name: Dekko™ Lavender Vein
With its delicate, lavender-hued petals adorned with intricate veins, this petunia is the epitome of elegance. Each bloom is a work of art, bringing a touch of sophistication to your outdoor space. Dekko Lavender Vein is filled with lush blooms and puts on a high impact show all season long. It's features dark green foliage and outstanding branching. A great addition to large patio containers and landscapes! Hummingbirds and butterflies will flock to your garden to enjoy these stunning petunias filled with sweet nectar.
Growing Tips: Petunias love to bask in the sun and enjoy 6 hours or more of daily sunlight. Water your petunias regularly to promote lush blooms. Make sure the soil is well drained because soggy soil and overwatering can cause root rot and yellowed foliage. Soil prepared before planting petunias should have well-composted organic matter worked in. Our petunias are self-cleaning. Deadheading is not necessary!
When planting in containers, hanging baskets and window boxes, we recommend using our potting soil which is specially formulated for our plants. An application of a time release fertilizer at the time of planting will help to ensure the best possible performance. Zehr's Osmocote blend is perfect for the job. We also suggest fertilizing every two weeks during the hot summer months of June, July and August with Maxsea, which you can purchase at Zehr's. Begonias, Impatiens and most plants grown for foliage normally do not need as much fertilizer.
