Berberis (Barberry)
×
Color Name: Crimson Cutie®
Crimson Cutie is a non-invasive Japanese Berberis. It will not produce nuisance seedlings or spread to unwanted areas. Crimson Cutie will grace the landscape with dense, compact form and deep, purplish-red foliage that will shine. It is excellent as an accent or foundation plant in addition to low hedge and border uses. Low maintenance and worry free! Loves full sun, tolerates shade and is perfect for grouping! Deer Resistant & non-invasive!
Growing Tips: As with all barberries, Crimson Cutie is extremely adaptable but best in any well-drained soil location. Water regularly after planting and fertilize in spring before new growth begins. A light trim in late spring will enhance shape. Since seeds are not-viable, there is no need to trim after flowering to deter seedlings.
