Large, single lavender flowers are adorned with a lacy center to create an anemone-like bloom. Lavender Chiffon Hibiscus is beautiful incorporated into a mixed border. A mass planting will create an easy-to-grow privacy screen with lots of summer color. Lavender Chiffon has soft, graceful stems and a useful rounded habit. The lavender blooms have fluffy centers making them extra showy. This hibiscus produces few to no seeds.
Growing Tips: Rose of Sharon is not finicky about soil. Any well-drained site will do. Regular pruning is not required. May be trimmed, pruned, or shaped as desired in early spring. Rose of Sharon generally has high fertility needs and may benefit from a yearly applications of a granular fertilizer formulated for flowering shrubs.
