Rocky Mountain Deep Rose boasts true rose colored, semi-double flowers over medium green foliage. The Rocky Mountain series has superb heat tolerance and is unmatched for its garden performance. Rocky Mountain Deep Rose Geraniums have large, full-sized plants and are very showy in ground beds and containers with their large, colorful red blooms.
Geraniums are a favorite bedding and container plant and are grown in almost every region of the country. These plants have succulent leaves and stems and they are commonly called garden geraniums or zonal geraniums. They are excellent in containers of all types from small pots to large tubs to window boxes and combine well with other plants such as petunias and ivies. Growing Tips: Geraniums crave sunshine and will be happy in a garden location where they are kissed by the sun for at least six hours a day. Water your geraniums regularly and, if possible, early in the day to avoid standing water on leaves overnight, which may leads to disease. You will need to deadhead your geraniums for continuous blooming. With proper care, your geraniums will bring you joy with big, lush beautiful blooms!
When planting in containers, hanging baskets and window boxes, we recommend using our potting soil which is specially formulated for our plants. An application of a time release fertilizer at the time of planting will help to ensure the best possible performance. Zehr's Osmocote blend is perfect for the job. Begonias, Impatiens and most plants grown for foliage normally do not need as much fertilizer.
