Color Name: SuperCal® Coral Star
SuperCal Premium Coral Star is a vibrant annual plant variety known for its exceptional performance in gardens and containers. This Petchoa, a hybrid cross between a petunia and a calibrachoa, combines the best qualities of both plants. It showcases striking, large coral-colored blooms with a unique star pattern that remain vibrant throughout spring, summer, and fall. SuperCal Premium Coral Star boasts impressive heat tolerance, excellent rain recovery, and resistance to cold, ensuring a continuous display of color even in challenging weather conditions. It exhibits a mounding, trailing growth habit, making it ideal for hanging baskets, containers, and landscape use. Its non-sticky foliage contributes to a cleaner appearance, while its robust roots promote overall plant health.
Growing Tips: Petchoas love to bask in the sun and enjoy 6 hours or more of daily sunlight. Water your petunias regularly to promote lush blooms. Make sure the soil is well drained because soggy soil and overwatering can cause root rot and yellowed foliage. Soil prepared before planting petunias should have well-composted organic matter worked in. Our petunias are self-cleaning. Deadheading is not necessary!
When planting in containers, hanging baskets and window boxes, we recommend using our potting soil which is specially formulated for our plants. An application of a time release fertilizer at the time of planting will help to ensure the best possible performance. Zehr's Osmocote blend is perfect for the job.
