Petunia (Petchoa)

Color Name: SuperCal® Rose Star
SuperCal Premium Rose Star is a Petchoa hybrid, combining the best traits of both petunias and calibrachoas. It features vibrant, bubblegum-pink blooms with bold fuchsia stripes in a star pattern, offering a long-lasting display from spring until the first frost. This variety is known for its resilience to various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain, and is self-cleaning, requiring no deadheading to maintain its freshness. SuperCal Premium Rose Star exhibits a mounding, trailing growth habit, making it ideal for hanging baskets, containers, and mass plantings in garden beds or borders. It thrives in full sun and well-draining soil and attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.
Growing Tips: Petchoas love to bask in the sun and enjoy 6 hours or more of daily sunlight. Water your petunias regularly to promote lush blooms. Make sure the soil is well drained because soggy soil and overwatering can cause root rot and yellowed foliage. Soil prepared before planting petunias should have well-composted organic matter worked in. Our petunias are self-cleaning. Deadheading is not necessary!
When planting in containers, hanging baskets and window boxes, we recommend using our potting soil which is specially formulated for our plants. An application of a time release fertilizer at the time of planting will help to ensure the best possible performance. Zehr's Osmocote blend is perfect for the job.
