Argyranthemum (Marguerite Daisy)
×
Color Name: Sassy® Double Rose
Argyranthemum Sassy Double Deep Rose is known for its striking double pink daisy-like flowers with rose overtones and gold centers. These cheerful blooms appear in abundance from lspring to late summer, creating a vibrant display in the garden. This variety exhibits an upright spreading habit and features finely textured, grayish-green, ferny foliage. Sassy Double Deep Rose is ideal for mass plantings, border edging, and containers, thriving in full sun and well-drained soil. Regular deadheading can encourage more blooms throughout the season, and it's also attractive to pollinators like bees and butterflies.
Growing Tips: While newer Argyranthemum are much more heat tolerant than older varieties, they will still do best with cool night temperatures. Our varieties have been selected to flower continuously without deadheading. If night temperatures are regularly staying in the high 70's or above, plants may flush out of bloom. If this happens, give them a trim using a sharp pair of scissors or pruning shears (think of it as giving your plant a haircut). This will help induce more branching and fresh growth and the plants will be at their best when night temperatures drop and the plants begin to bloom again.
When planting in containers, hanging baskets and window boxes, we recommend using our potting soil which is specially formulated for our plants. An application of a time release fertilizer at the time of planting will help to ensure the best possible performance. Zehr's Osmocote blend is perfect for the job.
