Evergreen Taxus x media (Yew)
Color Name: Stonehenge Skinny®
A space-saving hedge plant for sun or shade! Meet Stonehenge Skinny yew - the narrowest, most space-saving evergreen around. It takes up a mere 1' square of ground space and grows as a lush, dense column of soft, evergreen foliage. It maintains its handsome, deep green color all year round, and is adorned with bright green in spring when the new growth emerges. It's a hard-working evergreen for landscapes and gardens of all types, and it's the perfect alternative to narrow Japanese hollies like 'Sky Pencil' for gardeners in cold climates.
Growing Tips: Provide evenly moist, well-drained soil with protection from harsh, drying winds. Water deeply, regularly during the first growing season to establish an extensive root system. Once established, reduce frequency; tolerates drought. Fertilize before new growth begins in spring. For a tidy, neat appearance, prune annually to shape.
